Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Use govern the conditions of use and all matters concerning the operation of services provided by Treeru (the “Site”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

The main terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.

• ① Member: a user who agrees to the Site’s terms, provides personal information, registers as a member, enters into a service agreement with the Site, and uses the Site.
• ② Service agreement: the agreement between the Site and a member concerning use of the Site.
• ③ Member ID (“ID”): a unique combination of letters and numbers assigned to each member for identification and use of the services.
• ④ Password: a combination of letters and numbers selected by a member to verify that the member matches the assigned ID and to protect the member’s rights and interests.
• ⑤ Operator: the operator who establishes and runs a website within the service.
• ⑥ Termination: a member’s cancellation of the service agreement.

Article 3 (Rules Outside These Terms)

The operator may separately announce operating policies when necessary. If these Terms overlap with an operating policy, the operating policy takes precedence.

Article 4 (Formation of the Service Agreement)

• ① A service agreement is formed when a person seeking to register and use the Site agrees to these Terms, applies for membership, and the operator accepts the application.
• ② A person seeking to register and use the service indicates agreement to these Terms by reading them during registration and selecting “I agree” below.

Article 5 (Application to Use the Service)

• ① Users seeking to register as members must provide the information requested by the Site, such as a user ID, password, and nickname.
• ② Members who fail to register their true information, including by using another person’s information or registering false information, may not assert rights concerning Site use and may be subject to penalties under applicable law.

Article 6 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)

The Site collects and uses personal information for membership registration and service provision as follows.

Article 7 (Member Services)

• ① The Site provides members with informational content about technical fields such as AI, IT, software development, and networks.
• ② The Site may send members the following information by email.
  • Technical information and insights about AI, IT, and development
  • Announcements of new Site services and features
  • Promotional information such as events and promotions (only for members who have separately consented to receive it)
• ③ Members may opt out of emails at any time. The Site stops sending the relevant emails immediately upon opt-out.
• ④ The Site may provide personalized content and information based on members’ service usage history and areas of interest.
• ⑤ The types, scope, and delivery methods of content provided to members may change under the Site’s operating policies. Changes will be announced in advance.

Article 8 (Privacy Policy)

The Site and operator do not possess passwords among the personal information provided during membership registration. Related matters are governed by the Site’s Privacy Policy.

The operator strives to protect members’ personal information, including registration information, as required by applicable law.

The protection of members’ personal information is governed by applicable law and the Site’s Privacy Policy.

However, the operator bears no responsibility for information exposed due to a member’s fault. If a member registers or distributes unlawful posts, such as posts contrary to public morals or national security, the operator may inspect the member’s materials and submit them to relevant authorities upon request.

Article 9 (Operator’s Obligations)

• ① If the operator finds a member’s opinion or complaint justified, it must handle it as quickly as possible. If personal circumstances make prompt handling difficult, the operator makes its best efforts, such as providing a subsequent notice or contacting the member by message or email.
• ② To ensure continuous and stable operation, the operator may request that the Site repair or restore faulty or lost facilities without delay. However, Site operation may be temporarily suspended due to natural disasters or unavoidable circumstances affecting the Site or operator.

Article 10 (Members’ Obligations)

• ① Members must comply with these Terms, all rules established by the operator, Site notices and operating policies, and applicable laws. They must not interfere with the Site’s business or damage its reputation.
• ② Without the Site’s express consent, members may not transfer or give others their right to use the services or their contractual status, or provide them as security.
• ③ Users must exercise due care in managing their IDs and passwords and may not allow third parties to use their IDs without the operator’s or Site’s consent.
• ④ Members must not infringe the intellectual property rights of the operator, the Site, or third parties.

Article 11 (Service Availability)

• ① In principle, the service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, unless there are special operational or technical difficulties. The Site may temporarily suspend services at designated times for periodic maintenance, expansion, or replacement. Planned suspensions are announced on the Site in advance; please check these notices regularly.
• ② However, the Site may temporarily or permanently suspend services without prior notice in the following cases.
  • Emergency system inspection, expansion, replacement, breakdown, or malfunction
  • Force majeure, such as a national emergency, power outage, or natural disaster
  • Suspension of telecommunications services by a facilities-based telecommunications provider under the Telecommunications Business Act
  • Disruption of normal service use due to excessive demand or similar circumstances
• ③ For suspensions under the preceding paragraph, the Site notifies members in advance through notices or similar means. If advance notice is impossible for reasons outside the Site’s control, notice is provided afterward.

Article 12 (Termination of Service Use)

• ① A member wishing to terminate the service agreement must personally apply online to cancel registration. Separately from ending use of the Site, the member must also separately terminate the service agreement with the Site.
• ② Upon a termination request, Site-related programs provided by the Site are automatically removed from the member management interface, and the operator can no longer view the applicant’s information.

Article 13 (Restrictions on Service Use)

Members must not engage in any of the following acts. If they do, the Site may restrict use, take lawful measures, terminate the service agreement, or suspend services for a specified period.

• ① Registering false information when joining or updating information after joining
• ② Interfering with another person’s Site use or misappropriating their information
• ③ Impersonating Site management, staff, or associated persons
• ④ Infringing the personality or intellectual property rights of the Site or third parties, or interfering with their business
• ⑤ Improperly using another member’s ID
• ⑥ Collecting, storing, or disclosing another member’s personal information without consent
• ⑦ Acts objectively considered to be connected with crime
• ⑧ Other acts violating applicable law

Article 14 (Management of Posts)

• ① The operator is responsible for managing and operating posts and materials on the Site. The operator must continuously monitor inappropriate posts and materials. Upon discovering or receiving a report of them, it must delete them and warn the member who registered them. Members are responsible for their own posts and must not post content that violates these Terms.
• ② If a public authority, such as the Information and Communication Ethics Committee, requests corrective action, the operator may delete or move posts without the member’s prior consent.
• ③ The criteria for inappropriate posts are as follows.
  • Content that seriously insults or damages the reputation of another member or a third party
  • Distributing or linking content contrary to public order or morals
  • Content encouraging illegal copying or hacking
  • Advertising for commercial gain
  • Content objectively recognized as connected with crime
  • Infringement of copyright or other rights of other users or third parties
  • Content considered to violate other applicable laws
• ④ If a third party requests suspension of a post due to defamation, intellectual property infringement, or another rights infringement, the Site and operator may temporarily suspend its publication or transmission. They follow any relevant litigation outcome, settlement, or equivalent decision by an authority between the requester and the author once submitted to the Site.

Article 15 (Preservation of Posts)

If the operator must discontinue the Site due to unavoidable circumstances, it notifies members in advance and strives to take all measures to facilitate transfer of their posts.

Article 16 (Copyright in Posts)

• ① Copyright in posts belongs to the members who posted them. The Site may not use posts commercially without the author’s consent. This restriction does not apply to nonprofit use, and the Site also has the right to display posts within the service.
• ② Members may not commercially use materials posted on the service, including by independently modifying or selling information obtained through the service.
• ③ If the operator considers content posted or registered by a member to fall under any category in Article 14, it may delete or move it or refuse registration without prior notice.

Article 17 (Damages)

• ① Primary responsibility for all civil and criminal liability arising on this Site rests with the member concerned.
• ② No compensation is provided for damage suffered by a member due to force majeure, such as a natural disaster, or due to the member’s intentional act or negligence.

Article 18 (Disclaimer of Liability)

• ① The operator is exempt from liability if a member fails to obtain expected benefits from the services or suffers damage from selecting or using service materials.
• ② The operator is exempt from liability for failures of the Site’s service infrastructure or telecommunications services provided by other carriers. Damage relating to the Site’s service infrastructure is governed by the Site’s Terms of Use.
• ③ The operator bears no responsibility for materials stored, posted, or transmitted by members.
• ④ The operator is not liable for service disruptions caused by a member’s fault.
• ⑤ The operator is not liable for any activities between members, between members and third parties, or otherwise inside or outside the service, including data transmission and other community activities.
• ⑥ The operator is not responsible for the truthfulness, reliability, accuracy, or other content of materials posted or transmitted by members or any materials members may receive through the Site.
• ⑦ The operator is not liable for any damage arising from transactions in goods between members or between members and third parties through the service.
• ⑧ The operator is not liable for disputes between members or between members and third parties that arise without the operator’s fault.
• ⑨ The operator is not liable for damage to members arising from system failures during management, inspection, maintenance, or replacement of servers or other facilities, or operation of software, without intent or gross negligence equivalent to intent; failures caused by third-party attacks; the spread of computer viruses for which recognized research institutes or security companies in Korea or abroad have not developed countermeasures; or other force majeure beyond the operator’s control.

Supplementary Provision

These Terms take effect on February 24, 2026.
